A self initiated project, the brief is slanted towards elegant and sophisticated eveningwear for Amanda Wakeley's next S/S collection. My inspirations came mainly from drape and looking at different aspects, such as, architecture, art movements and interiors; also the use of trimmings...sequins where I looked at shine. The idea was to create eveningwear from draping ideas on the stand and my research enabled me to pick out pops of colour suitable for a summer collection, such as, lipstick red and summer yellow and allowed me to use fabrics that drape consistantly... chiffon, satin and jersey. This project led me to an offer of a 3 month Internship within the London design studio.
