My Graduate womenswear collection is based around a personal aesthetic. The use of ballet with my interest in drape enabled me to create elegant eveningwear in sumptuous fabrics, such as, silk jersey, leather and suede, also looking towards inspirations such as floral paintings by my favourite artist - Georgia O'Keeffe. I used the colours to create an ombre effect, which I created by using a dip dyeing process by hand and created sections of frills in seams, around collars of jackets and necklines.
